Scott Martin, now a project manager at construction firm Winvic, started his career in 1996 as a technical assistant for Lincolnshire County Council. He gained experience in civil engineering when the council joined forces with Babtie Group in the late 1990s. Martin worked as an assistant resident engineer and discovered his passion for being on construction sites. He has worked as a freelance project manager and for civil contractors, and he recently joined Winvic in early 2021. Martin enjoys building schemes and prefers working on site rather than in a design office.
