Tarmac has achieved the Clear Assured Gold Standard for its inclusion and diversity measures in the workplace. This globally recognised accreditation by assessment body the Clear Company is awarded to companies demonstrating integration of I&D measures across all areas, including policies, practices and strategies. Tarmac achieved the Silver Standard in 2022 and the improved Gold Standard reflects continued efforts to embed and enhance I&D practices. This accomplishment places Tarmac in the 16% of Clear Assured accredited companies to have secured Gold. Clear Assured is a rigorous framework examining all aspects of inclusion culture, based on continuous improvement. Among the initiatives identified by the Clear Company were the launch of a menopause policy, a full refresh of employee diversity data, and achieving Disability Confident Employer – level 2 accreditation. Louise Houston, head of inclusion and diversity for Tarmac, stressed the importance of inclusion practices for creating a diverse and supportive workplace culture and committing to continuous improvement.
