Land Rover has unveiled the 2024 Range Rover Sport SV, which boasts the power of a BMW-sourced V8 twin-turbo mild hybrid, delivering over 600 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque, and industry-first carbon wheels that help reduce weight and unsprung mass. The optional carbon-ceramic brakes remove 75 pounds compared to the standard brake setup on the new SUV. The available 23-inch carbon fibre wheels, first in any production vehicles, create a weight-saving bonus, shedding 20 pounds per corner of the SUV, allowing the Sport SV to put the power down more efficiently than with the standard wheels. A new 6D Dynamics suspension system works to reduce the pitch and roll of the vehicle through the corners, helping to maintain near a level body stance in extreme cornering and acceleration situations, as well as increasing grip and comfort levels. Inside the Range Rover, there are the new Body and Soul Seat (BASS), satin carbon fibre-backed SV performance seats with their integrated headrests and the Pivi Pro infotainment system. Land Rover expects to price the Range Rover Sport SV at around $140,000.
