Regrow Ag and xarvio Digital Farming Solutions are partnering to advance the decarbonisation of agriculture. The two companies will connect their MRV and smart farming platforms respectively to help farmers reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and increase carbon sequestration. The initiative will begin with pilot projects in South America and Europe, with expansion to other areas possible later on. Regrow will integrate its MRV software into the xarvio Field Manager crop-optimisation platform, which uses plant models, agronomic algorithms and multiple data inputs to provide clear crop management recommendations down to the subfield level. Regrow’s MRV software will allow farmers to quantify the environmental impact of on-field farming, enabling them to meet requirements of the world’s major carbon certification bodies, such as The Gold Standard. Regrow’s soil carbon model, which estimates nutrient cycling in soil, including how much carbon is stored as a result of soil management practices, will utilise insights from the MRV software. Xarvio Digital Farming Solutions aims to help farmers achieve a 30% reduction in CO2 emissions per tonne of crop produced by 2030, certified along the value chain.
