Gold Standard is a non-profit organization that implements externally funded initiatives and projects to support the implementation of high-integrity climate action. They are currently working on a multi-year project to assist countries in the Pacific Alliance (Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru) with their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) by providing support on monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV). They are seeking a Project Officer to help with the implementation of their capacity-building initiatives, starting with support for the Pacific Alliance.

The Project Officer will work alongside the Project Manager and be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the project. This includes developing workplans and budgets, tracking finances and reporting to donors, managing subcontractors, and engaging with country representatives and other stakeholders. The Project Officer may also be involved in future capacity-building projects.

The responsibilities of the Project Officer include managing project budgets and timelines, ensuring compliance with funders’ requirements, overseeing procurement processes, managing sub-contractors, supporting project monitoring and evaluation, organizing meetings and events, and maintaining project documentation.
