The American Carbon Registry (ACR) seeks a Registry Architect to work in Arlington, VA or remotely. The ACR is recognized for its high standards and innovation in carbon offset programs. The Registry Architect will lead technical projects, maintain ACR and ART’s carbon offset registry systems, and train the company’s employees on the infrastructure’s functionality development. The candidate must have a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Information Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field, or a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences/Policy with coursework in computer science and IT. The candidate must have at least five years of experience in database system and user interface design and two years of direct experience in management and be detail-oriented. The candidate should be familiar with security integrity, distributed ledger technologies, and environmental markets. Fluency in written and spoken English is required, and speaking one or more additional languages is an asset. The candidate must be willing to travel and work in a high-paced and flexible environment and be authorized to work in the US.
